This purchase includes 9.0 mL Elector PSP in a single-use bottle that must be diluted in one gallon of water. Treats at least 50 chickens.

Description
Elector PSP must be stored in a cool, dark location until use; light degrades the active ingredient. A closed cabinet is a perfect storage area.TO USE:
– Dilute 9 ml of Elector PSP in one gallon of water.
– Add solution to a spray bottle to apply to all flock members, paying particular attention to wetting the feathers and skin around vents and the crests of crested breeds.
– Shake well prior to and during use.
– Prepare the solution immediately prior to use.
Treating your birds after dark when they are roosting is our favorite way to handle the entire flock. It minimizes stress and mitigates having to chase any birds. It’s very helpful to tackle the job with a partner.
If red roost mites are present, treat the coop, paying particular attention to crevices.

I was amazed that it got shipped the day I ordered it! Very impressed! Having used elector psp before, I feel that it is such a good treatment to have on hand. We noticed something wrong with our flock several months ago and saw lice in the nesting boxes. Because we had it on hand, we were able to mix it up and apply it with a backpack sprayer on all our 20 chickens, the cleaned out coop, and all over places where lice might hide out. It took care of it immediately with one application! Definitely amazing to have on hand!

Well I believe the product has killed the lice in my flock. i did it 2 days in a row on them & also sprayed chicken coop where they sleep etc. My only issue is that i sent a message to the seller & she never answered my question. I mixed the product in 1 gallon of water & only have 16 chickens & my question was : How long is the mixture good for & lasts in the container after mixed? i am yet to get a reply but google says it lasts a long long time in dry dark area. So its in my spare bathroom labeled in case I need it ever again.

Hi Maria, I’m so sorry you didn’t receive a response – I must have somehow missed your message! The answer to your question is variable. Elanco says the mixture is no good and should be used right away after being mixed. However, I’m not one to waste, and I did use months-old mixture on a broody silkie hen that I brought inside to sit on eggs. I watched the lice she had fall off, so it worked! Long story short, my recommendation is to keep it in a dark, cool area and use it when you next treat within a few months, but out of caution don’t rely on it. Have a backup just in case the efficacy is lowered and you need another treatment!

I got the product but the three emails I sent, with questions about its use, were all ignored. One of which was how long the product could be stored which I see was answered here after another customer stated their email, asking the same question, was ignored. I have treated the flock and saw dead mites immediately. Only time will tell if it does what it claims to do. The packing was nice and the stickers were cute.
